PRESENTACIÓ

Moltes famílies procedents d’Andalusia, Galícia i Extremadura, entre altres comunitats, van arribar a Barcelona a la recerca d’un futur digne i van contribuir a la construcció de la ciutat que coneixem avui dia. Com vivia la classe treballadora fa mig segle, a la ciutat grisa, bruta i trista en la qual s’havia convertit Barcelona després de la guerra? Què va ser d’aquests treballadors i dels seus fills?

Barnacas II, Barraquisme al carrer Francisco Alegre’ indaga en la memòria històrica del barraquisme preolímpic en un format de “narrativa augmentada”, una multi plataforma transmèdia. Pretén donar la veu a personatges desconeguts que formen part de la història de Barcelona, en particular d’un barri estigmatitzat, El Carmel, i de visualitzar, divulgar i sensibilitzar la ciutadania sobre la importància de mantenir viva la memoria, així com la nostàlgia de la infantesa com a pàtria.

 

L’autor OSCAR DHOOGE ( Eeklo, Bélgica, 1970) viu a Barcelona des de l’any 2005 i ha cursat fotografía documental a El Observatorio i Ruido Photo, multimèdia a l’Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) amb José Bautista (Kansei Sounds), i video al Centre de Fotografia Documental (CFD).

Dhooge centra el seu treball documental en la memoria col·lectiva, les migracions i els drets socials. Actualment és profesor de fotoperiodisme en l’equip docent de la Escuela Libre de Periodismo DATECUENTA que imparteix formació no reglada a persones adherides al Sindicat de la Imatge UPIFC en el local de l’entitat.
